    Situated in the heart of England, Oxford is a small, safe and beautiful city, full of culture and history. Bath, Birmingham, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick and London are all a short drive away. IH Oxford courses take place at St Edward’s School, one of the UK’s most prestigious boarding schools. It has modern teaching, sporting and accommodation facilities, and is situated in beautiful historical buildings set around a large quad.

On-site facilities include: 

• Sports facilities: golf course, tennis courts, multi-sport playing fields, modern indoor sports hall, indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
• Classrooms: well-equipped classrooms with a maximum of 15 students per class.
• Common areas: lounge areas in each accommodation house, with computers and televisions.
• Dining hall: hot and cold meals are served from a buffet in a large hall and light snacks are available throughout the day.

    After an action-packed day and the excitement of making new friends, you will have a place to relax and feel at home. All accommodation at IH Oxford and IH Ellesmere is within the school grounds, in spacious houses offering a variety of single, twin, triple, quadruple and dormitory-style bedrooms.

We have three programmes available:

    Discover English is our fun English programme which operates in the spring in Oxford (12-17 year-olds).

    English Plus is our most academic programme, which allows students to:

• Improve English language skills
• Prepare for study in an English speaking environment

    Students on the English Plus course also enjoy activities and excursions.

    English Active allows you to receive professional coaching in around 11 popular activities, ranging from drama and art & design, to football, swimming and horse riding. All coaches are professionals in their activity. You still follow the daily English programme and have time to join in fun activities with your new international friends.
